Tempo
Age: 8 wk
Weight: growing!
Tempo is an easygoing puppy who will lean in for all the cuddles! While it’s clear she’s a mix of many different breeds, she looks to be largely retriever and her beautiful black and brown coat is currently pretty fluffy - so she may stay that way!
She’s already starting to potty-train and will likely take to it very easily. She is not very vocal, except when it’s clear she’s uncomfortable and needs to potty or when she’s playing with her siblings. She is also very happy to lay in a crate and sleep, and sometimes would prefer to do that over playing or going outside. If anyone sits on the floor, she is the first of the puppies to approach and lean in for cuddles.
She has some playful puppy energy, of course, and will need all the training an 8-week old puppy needs (leash, crate, potty, etc.), but she has quickly become a favorite in her foster home because of her loving and laid-back energy. When she does try to use her puppy teeth, she is quickly redirected with a chew toy or chewable treat. She loves to play with the elementary-aged children in her current foster home and her current foster has a cat that she has been slowly introduced to. While it’s too early to know if she’ll tolerate a cat long-term because she’s more interested in playing with her foster siblings, she seems to treat the cat with the same mellow energy as she treats most everything.
