Piper

Age: 8 wk

Weight: growing!

Piper is clearly a retriever, both in looks and his personality. He loves people and can get vocal if left alone for too long.

He is already starting to potty-train and gets very excited when he’s praised for any of his good behaviors. He is a fan-favorite of his foster’s elementary-aged children because of his playful puppy energy! He’ll chase and grab sticks and wants so badly for you to play back. He wants and needs for you to pet him if you’re close by and will lean in to get all the good pets he can.

He will need some help redirecting his need to chew, but has quickly taken to chew toys and treats if they’re given as a redirect. He’s currently very preoccupied in playing and tumbling with his sibling sisters, so he hasn’t really noticed the cat who is also at the foster home. It’s possible he could be in a cat-friendly home, but would need a strong willed cat who is willing to push through the puppy barks and his playful nature once his siblings don’t take the bulk of his energy.
