My name is Finnegan and I am a happy-go-lucky kind of guy! Just look at the smile on my face! I am very engaged with my humans and am so happy for the love they give me. I have changed so much since being in my foster homes!  I live with my foster parents, foster brother and feline sister. I haven’t been around little humans yet!

I love my snuggle times and if you leave my crate open at night, I might sneak up on your bed in the morning for some cuddle time! I am happy to go into my crate when you go out and at bedtime. I have earned my foster’s trust so that she does leave me for short periods of time outside my crate and I am a good boy. I am perfectly housebroken and will come to you, wiggle or bark to let you know I need to go out. Mostly, I am happy with a scheduled outdoor time.  I like my walks but am happy to do what I need to in the back yard, but most importantly I like to be where you are!

My foster Mom says I am the sweetest and most perfectly well-behaved indoor dog ever! I will self-entertain myself with playing ball and I will play well with other dogs once I am introduced. I love hanging out with my foster brother but sometimes we are happy to be our own dog. I love to fetch and will return the ball and sit for a treat. I also know basic commands of off, up, sit and stay.

I will walk loose on a leash but can be reactive and pull really hard when I see other dogs and small animals but we are working on this and I am making progress every day. My foster gets my attention with a click sound and throws me a treat and I catch it midair! That helps keep me stay focused when walking so that I don’t care about critters around me and if you have a quiet neighborhood that would be great!

I do like to bark (usually at squirrels, outside voices or delivery trucks) but am easily distracted with a treat or a toy and told it is ok. When I meet new people, I might bark at them, but after a slow introduction, I am fine and then go to them for kisses or treats. I am a gentle sweet boy who is all bark!

If you work from home, and would love a dedicated buddy then I am your guy! Meet & Greets are not my favorite place because it is so busy for me, but my foster Mom would be happy to set up a play date to meet! I am ready for some TV time with my forever person and I can’t wait to meet you!
