Gunnar is an adorable mix with a golden coat, short legs and a sweet face. He was picked up as a stray by a regional shelter. The shelter advocated for Gunnar to be accepted into rescue.
Gunnar came to NRGRR with itchy, uncomfortable skin along with some hair loss on his rear end and seemed undersocialized but sweet. Gunnar has been living and working with a trainer since the end of November and has done very well. His skin and coat have improved greatly but we’re still tweaking diet and meds for a little remaining itchiness.
Gunnar has learned a lot about living in a home. His behavior suggests to us that he hasn’t lived in a home before. Gunnar has learned to trust and is happy and snuggly with people he knows! He has good leash manners and crate manners.
Do you have a pet free home but want to add a dog that wants to be your best friend? Are you willing to take your time and allow your new dog to get to know and trust you? Then Gunnar is your dog!
