Available Dogs - Fia

Applications_Closed-red

Blond, cutie Fia came to us a week before Christmas.   While most people were wrapping their final gifts and gearing up for celebrations, our team was in rural N.C. trying to round up puppies who lived tied outside.  Needless to say, the three female puppies rescued suffered major culture shock – moving from a life of neglect in the great outdoors to a life inside a warm and loving home.

Fia has spent the past two months learning to trust, gaining confidence and building her home manners and now she’s ready for her forever home.  She has mastered so many skills:  she likes to run and jump outside with dogs that she knows, she will sit on command, she is crate trained and she will walk on a leash with another dog friend in the mix. Her foster brother has been a critical component in her rehabilitation and she will require another dog in the home to lean on as she continues to build confidence.  Fia warms up to other dogs quickly, and to people more slowly.  She likes to be petted and loves to sleep or hang out under tables and beds where she can observe what’s going on.  She is a good passenger on long car rides.  Loud sounds and new experiences are still a little scary to her.  With patience and love this little girl will make a wonderful addition to your family.

Are you the right person to help this sweet beauty continue her journey to becoming a treasured family pet?  She is ready to meet you.
