Available Dogs - Harry

Harry's sweet face

Applications_Closed-red

Hi, my name is Harry (although my foster family has nick named me Potter) and I am 5 months old.  I have been with my foster family for a short time and I am learning what it means to be a real puppy.

My foster Mom was surprised when she brought me to my foster house as to how good I am!  My foster Mom thought she would have to do a lot of crate training with me but I proved her wrong.  I learned basic commands very quickly.  I now know how to ring the bells to go outside, sit, go on walks, and go to the crate when she has to leave the house.  I have a dog foster brother too and he has taught me a lot about being a dog.  My dog foster brother is only 7 lbs but I know that he is the alpha dog, I don’t mind.  I also have three human foster brothers…they are all teenagers.  They do this really fun thing when I lay on my back…they scratch my tummy and it feels so good.  They love on me so much and teach me how to love humans.

I really enjoy making my foster family proud.  I haven’t chewed on anything but toys yet, I stay downstairs because that is where I like it the best, I don’t have to sleep in a crate at night because the area rug is so fuzzy and comfortable, and I only bark when playing.  I also really like going on walks through the neighborhoods and hikes at Umstead Park.  I still get a bit nervous driving in cars but I am getting more used to that every time we go somewhere.

So now, I am looking for my forever family…especially now that I know what it means to be in a loved home.
