I was found near the side of a road and ended up an over-populated shelter. Thankfully, NRGRR found me a foster home where I could make some friends and go through heartworm treatments. I am happy to report that I am now heartworm-free and have developed a taste for dry dog food. In fact food is one of my favorite things. While I am generally very docile and chill, I have a great enthusiasm for breakfast and dinner and greatly appreciate my humans providing me meals!

X-rays uncovered a significant injury to my hind left leg. I don’t remember what happened in my former life, but I might never be the top-shelf athlete I could have been. That said I get around very well and have had absolutely no problems getting outside to do the business that’s better done outside. I also can easily climb up on a couch but generally stay in my bed or crate unless my humans invite me to join them. Once I am getting attention of any kind, I will stay as long as you will give it. I love making friends.

I am very happy and low-maintenance, especially around my foster family’s small dachshunds and young children. Now that I have a healthy appetite and am heartworm-free, I am quite ready to find my “forever” home with a family who wants a truly premier companion. I am happy! I am loving! I very rarely bark! Plus, I am downright handsome. I look forward to meeting you.!
