Abby Ward - looking for her forever home

  Sponsor_Me

Abby and her siblings came into the rescue back in December and a new way of life was introduced... moving from a life of uncertainty in the wilderness to a life in a loving home.

Abby has spent the past three months learning to live in a house and understanding the simple acts of kindness from humans.  Every step forward, an ear perk or a tail wag was a major milestone in her journey. It has been a long road but with the help of her two foster brothers, they have instilled confidence in her and  and she has begun trusting people.  She has done very well with other friendly dogs and quite often will initiate play. She will need another dog in her new home to continue building her confidence.

She is also very respectful in the house and does not need to be crated. She is learning to overcome her nervousness in riding in the car. Her most recent accomplishment is learning how to walk confidently on the leash without another dog. (See pictures taken at Shelly Lake )

Abbey continues to make great strides overcoming many social challenges and is now ready to transition to a family who is committed to giving this little girl a second chance at a new life.
